Mission 1: Technical Leadership & Quality Assurance
- Provide strategic technical input across CCA, DRR, and livelihood activities.
- Guide the integration of disability-inclusive and climate-resilient approaches in all project interventions.
- Develop or adapt tools, guidelines, and training content on inclusive DRR and sustainable livelihood practices.
- Oversee climate and hazard risk assessments and community-based adaptation planning (e.g., VCA, RRAP).
- Ensure reasonable accommodations and universal design principles in resilience and livelihood infrastructure.
Mission 2: Partnership Management & Influence
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with government agencies (e.g., DSS, DRRO, DAE), NGOs, and OPDs.
- Provide oversight and support to local implementing partner to ensure alignment with HI and MISEREOR’s approaches.
- Represent HI in relevant technical forums, networks, and working groups at district and national levels.
- Contribute to advocacy initiatives that promote inclusive climate adaptation and access to social protection.
Mission 3: Project Management & Compliance
- Oversee planning, implementation, and monitoring of project activities as per logical framework and budget.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of narrative and financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to HI’s institutional policies (e.g., PME, PSEAH, Age-Gender-Disability) and donor requirements.
- Lead on adaptive management in response to evolving field realities (e.g., political unrest, climate shocks).
Mission 4: Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL)
- Support MEAL team in developing and deploying monitoring tools to track technical indicators and progress.
- Coordinate baseline, endline, and outcome-level assessments with focusing on impact/change .
- Ensure accountability to communities through participatory M&E, feedback systems, and learning events.
- Document and disseminate good practices, success stories, and technical briefs on inclusive CCA and DRR.
Mission 5: Team & HR Management
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team including technical officers and field facilitators.
- Facilitate regular team planning, review, and learning sessions.
- Ensure performance management, professional development, and adherence to safeguarding principles.
Mission 6: Strategic Development & Resource Mobilization
- Contribute to strategic planning, learning reviews, and positioning of HI in the climate and DRR sectors.
- Support the drafting of project proposals and concept notes for new funding opportunities, as relevant.
